The cardio machines are top of the line, and the turf zone is perfect for sprints and other high-intensity exercises. The outdoor gym is also a great place to get some fresh air while working out. Overall, this gym has everything I need to stay in shape and reach my fitness goals.

What I don’t love about Fitness SF Soma

There are a few things I didn’t love that I will share about my experience at Fitness SF Soma.

First, it is always crowded in the evening after work. There never seem to be enough machines or weights for everyone, so I often have to wait in line or use equipment that I’m not familiar with. There’s not much getting around this because San Fran is already a crowded city so this is probably not specific to Fitness SF but most gyms in the area.

Second, the app that they use to check in and track workouts is very buggy and often doesn’t work properly. Sometimes, it crashes on me and I have to resign in or use my name and address to check in at the front desk.

Finally, the membership is around $100/month which is a lot, especially considering the crowded conditions and lack of available parking. However, you’re not really gonna find a better gym for this price. It’s a great value but it’s just a lot more than I paid for a gym in the midwest.
