Have you always wanted to try Snorkeling but was put off by the expense and time it takes to get certifies? Roatan is not only known around the world for their amazing diving spots, but they are also known for their affordable path to certification. Most dive shops do PADI certification for around $300. With plenty of restaurants catering to all budgets, you can indulge in as much (or as little) culinary exploration as you like. My favorite place to eat Roatan is a cafe in West End called Cafe de Palo.

The locals on Roatan are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. You definitely don’t have to worry about whether Roatan is safe or not. They’re always happy to help with directions or recommend their favorite places to eat and drink. You’ll quickly feel right at home on this laid-back island.
